Large municipal projects just keep coming and the lack of materials, talent and equipment continues to be a problem.  Similar to what happened in Houston for WBE & MBE contractors a few years ago, the lack of Colorado Certified WBE & MBE contractors and WBE, MBE & DBE subcontractors in Colorado is becoming a big problem.

According to the Denver Division of Small Business Opportunity, (DSBO),  “the need for WBE, DBE & MBE contractors and subcontractors in Colorado has never been greater and the number of applicants to the certification program has never been smaller”.  Not sure where it all ends but one thing is for sure, a certified DSBO is a valuable designation to have in the current environment.
